Just watched a series of interviews with the Potter cast (yes, I am now officially on holiday, you can tell by the amount of crap I watch... Torchwood is on tonight, may watch that... :) ). One thing that occured to me was that the (formerly) young cast will need to do something to shed thier Potter image if they want to go on to do decent adult roles. Daniel Radcliffe has already done some other films post Potter but I think there are ideal roles for Rupert Grint and Emma Watson which would catapult them out of kids stuff and into more mature roles.

Someone needs to make a film of Ben Elton's High Society. Then Grint can play Tommy Hanson, the drugged up Mancunian, Robbie Williams/Noel Gallagher hybrid rock star (I think he's perfect for the role) and Watson can play Emily Hilton-Smith, the equally drugged up 'It' girl he shags. Actually, I don't really care who plays the roles just so long as someone does...

Someone also needs to make films of Dead Famous, Past Mortem, Blind Faith and First Casualty simply because I think they are great stories that more people should be exposed to.

You can tell that this is the time of year when Big Brother is on and various TV talent shows are running... these are the time when I always start re-reading the Ben Elton books because he lampoons them so well.
