First week back....
Jan. 10th, 2009 03:16 pmThe end of my first week back in college has come and while it was more work than the previous few weeks (cos we did very little in those weeks due to it being holiday) it was still less work than being at school.
Yesterday was a fun day because the morning session invovled lots of mess and fun. It was our Broad Curriculum art session and we got to mess around with paint and stuff. We played around with monoprinting (coat a smooth surface with paint, gently lay a piece of paper on it and carefully use a pencil to make marks and see what appears on the other side of the paper), string printing (glue string to a piece of card in shapes and use it as a printing stamp) and oil pastels. All good fun.
I also handed in the first two essays to the exam office yesterday and was glad to get rid of them. No idea how well I have done with them as the questions were wierd and not at all clear about what they wanted. This was mainly because they were so open to interpretation that many people on the course read them in several different ways and no one seemed to know how they should be answered (and yes, even the lecturers seemed to disagree on this...)
Today I should be doing some other work - mainly maths - but cannot be bothered to do any of it at the moment so will have to do it all tomorrow...
Last night we watched Indiana Jones and the Crystal Zimmer Frame and enjoyed it better than we assumed we would which is a good thing. There was a lot to enjoy in it, in fact. Have also spent the week revisiting the first series of Heroes and enjoying it as much as I did when I first watched it. Am, however, annoyed that we seem to have missed the final episode of the last series that occured on BBC 2 somewhere between the penultimate episode being on just before Christmas and now. I have a horrible feeling that it was on straight after the penultimate episode and we missed it because we went to bed...
