Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!!!!!!!!!!
Dec. 4th, 2008 05:08 pmTo put the above subject heading in context, i.e. to let you all know why what I am about to tell you is so annoying, I would like to say that tomorrow morning, period one, thats the first period, the one that starts at 0850 in the morning, I am being officially observed for my end of school experience review.
Now, I have the lesson planned, I have everything printed out, I have even made the video that is being played at the start of the lesson complete with cute dogs, mice and bats (and Homer Simpson) so that there is an activity for them to do while I am taking the register. I was, until about an hour ago, fairly confident about tomorrow's lesson.
However, while I was in the computer room for period 4 today, the power cut out suddenly. 2/3 of the computers in the room went off though, inexplicably the rest were fine. That wasn't then a major problem - probably one fuse tripped, flip it back on and all will be well. However, when I got back from period 5 there were lights out all over the school and nothing was working. There was no power at all. It seems the problem (whatever it was) had spread and was not looking at all close to being fixed anytime soon. If it is not fixed by tomorrow I will have to majorly and at the last minute rethink the lesson (unless the fact there is no power means the school is closed and if it is thats a pain as it means rescheduling and replanning the observed lesson...)
I am not a happy bunny at the moment...
