Been a rather quiet day (as usual) still no work but one agency has contacted me asking for more proof of address (I gave them 3 or 4 at the interview! How many do they need!) Tomorrow I am not working due to the decorators being in to do the kitchen but I can work Friday cos Sarah will be home for that.
Eddie dropped his ball into the river at Senneleys park this evening and then stood by and laughed as Sarah struggled down the slippery bank to retrieve it... Other than that we had a lovely walk in the park with the wonderful weather we have been having lately. Apart from the snow...
Have had a steange writing idea which I plan to develop a little over the next few days while I have time. Need to do a lot of research (unusual for me, usually I only write about things I already know enough about) and am not sure how long this would be... definitely comedy, definitely wierd. It all came from a mad idea I had a few months ago and a killer first line that popped into my head one day which I wrote down but have yet to find a continuation for. This project may be that continuation... I won't say more for now...
Anyone to whom I sent the LRP writing mail... apologies for the bad format. It seems as though my new version of Word saves things in a format which is incompatible with earlier versions of word... can we say 'built in obsolesence?' I will send a properly formatted version out sometime soon.
In conclusion... Bubba Ho Tep is a great film. If you haven't already watched it, do so... The mere concept of Elvis and JFK fighting Mummies in a decrepit nursing home is enough of a hook but the film itself is a work of genius in its highlighting of the neglect of the elderly...
